My Philosophy
I believe healing is about more than simply managing symptoms. It’s about reconnecting with the deeper intelligence of the body, mind, and spirit. Our bodies and minds are capable of so much more than we have been led to believe, and we all deserve to experience that.
My work is rooted in the understanding that many of the struggles we experience are not signs that we are broken, but survival adaptations created through stress, trauma, and disconnection.
Through nervous system healing, expanded states of consciousness, somatic practices, and trauma-informed approaches, we create space to access healing at the root rather than endlessly coping at the surface.
I believe the body holds profound wisdom.
I believe consciousness has the capacity to transform us.
And I believe true healing reconnects us to the wholeness of who we already are, to each other, and to the natural world.
This is the shift from surviving to living — from symptom management to embodied transformation.
We are all our own best healers, and my passion and practice is to create a container and support you in realizing your self-sovereignty too! The body and mind have extensive healing capacity if we take the time to listen to them and what they need.
You are your own medicine, and health and healing come through awareness, resourcing, deconditioning, expression, and courage. Your path back to your body, mind, and soul is uniquely yours, and I am honored to walk alongside you.
My Journey
As a Clinical Doctor of Pharmacy, I spent a decade working within the Veterans Affairs Medical System on medical teams in the inpatient units and in healthcare system administration. While this work gave me a deep understanding of the body and the science of healing, pharmacotherapy, and the inner workings of the medical system, I also began to recognize the limitations of a reductionist model focused primarily on symptom management rather than addressing the deeper roots of suffering.
At the same time, my own healing journey led me toward a more expansive understanding of health, consciousness, and the nervous system. Through experiences with plant and natural medicines, somatic healing, shamanic healing practices, and hypnotherapy, I began to see how profoundly our emotional patterns, unresolved trauma, beliefs, and nervous system conditioning shape the way we experience ourselves and our lives.
What I discovered was that healing is not simply about eliminating symptoms.
It is about reconnecting with ourselves and the natural world at the deepest level.
After leaving the healthcare system, my work naturally evolved into an integrative approach that bridges science, consciousness, nervous system healing, and embodied transformation. Today, I support individuals who are seeking a deeper path forward. A path that honors both the intelligence of the body and the transformative potential of expanded awareness.
This work is deeply meaningful to me because I know what it feels like to search for healing beyond coping, surviving, or simply “functioning.” My intention is to create a space where true transformation becomes possible — physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
My Training and Education
I hold a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Idaho State University, a PGY1 Residency in Pharmacy Practice from the Salt Lake City VA Healthcare System and Board Certification as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist as well as a Somatic Breathwork Practitioner certificate from SomatIQ, and a Clinical Hypnotherapist certification including training as an EFT facilitator with clinical supervision from HCH Institute. I have 10 years of direct patient care experience in internal medicine as well as Pharmacy Residency Program Coordinator teaching experience in an academic teaching hospital prior to starting my own practice. I have a long-standing personal relationship with natural and psychedelic medicines dating back to 2009, and I am experienced in various altered states of consciousness. I have also completed Reiki 2 attunement and continue on my path of shamanic apprenticeship in the use of traditional plant medicines with a Maestro one generation removed from Shipibo-Conibo Maestra Olivia Arévalo Lomas.
My Commitment to You
I am committed to walking beside you with integrity, presence, attunement, and compassion. I curate safe and sacred containers where your nervous system can reset, your mind and heart can open, and your authentic self can rise. You are the driver - I am the tour guide. As your guide, I bring both scientific training and embodied wisdom to support your process. My promise is to meet you where you are, honor your pace, and provide the tools and reflections you need to step into wholeness, freedom, and self-sovereignty. My role is not to heal you or direct your path, but to support your healing journey of stepping fully into yourself.
With Love and Honor for Your Innate Intelligence,
Dr. Katie Simons
