Holding Space for Healing
4-Hour Live Workshop for Healing Professionals
Saturday, April 11, 11am-3pm EDT/8am-12pm PDT
This workshop is designed for healing professionals who desire a holistic, nervous system-informed method to support patients and themselves.
We live in a culture that trains us to be either patients or providers and emphasizes diagnosing and treatment over healing. The trainings that most of us received to work in therapeutic settings inherently align with this viewpoint, leaving us and our clients in the normalized experience of feeling broken, disempowered, and stuck.
As we move into a deeper understanding of our nervous system, the origins of mental health diagnoses, and the human capacity for lasting transformation, it is also time for us to update our approach as facilitators and space holders.
During this training, we will explore clinical concepts and demonstrations surrounding:
The Paradigm Shift from a Healthcare Model to a Healing Model
A Deeper View of Mental Health through the Lens of Complex Trauma
“Healing” Defined and The Unspoken Demands of Facilitating Healing Modalities
What is “Holding Space”? And the Why behind it
How to Hold Space in a Way that Results in Healing
The 4 Internal Pillars foundational to Holding Space:
Nervous System Regulation, Coherence, and Co-regulation
Boundaries and Discernment in the Clinical Setting
Witness Consciousness and Attunement
The Power of Intentionality
Each section is paired with experiential practices and practical tools to support integration into both clinical work and everyday life, including:
“Step into the Circle” ACE exercise
Somatic Awareness exercise
Clearing Your Field Practice
Daily Somatic Breathwork practice
Emotional Freedom Technique exercise
